Methodology
Deterministic science, not model guesswork
Calorie and macro targets are calculated by a versioned rules engine. AI is used to compose meals — never to invent your numbers.
Body composition first
Fat mass and lean body mass are derived from measured weight and body-fat percentage. Every downstream target is built on lean mass, not scale weight.
BMR — Müller equation
Kinetix uses the Müller lean-mass equation rather than generic population formulas, because it responds to body composition instead of assuming it.
TDEE
BMR is multiplied by an activity factor derived from occupation, daily movement and structured training volume.
Safe rate of change
Targets are constrained to 0.4–1.2% of body weight per week. Requests outside that range are flagged for human review rather than silently changed.
Protein targeting
2.2–3.0 g per kg of lean body mass, selected by deficit aggressiveness and leanness, with a further increase of 1% per year above age 40.
Deficit rules
Daily deficits follow a governed table based on population classification, protein status and resistance-training status — configurable by the Kinetix team, never buried in code.
